Waiting Room - Our new office has a very warm and spacious waiting room that will allow you to fill out paperwork in comfort.
Whether you need a thorough eye examination, diabetic screening, glaucoma screening , LASIK co-management or emergency eye care, Dr. Patel will provide you with outstanding quality care. We have been serving The Greater San Antonio area since 2005 and strive to exceed our patients’ expectations. When you walk through our doors, you will be greeted by a compassionate and experienced team that is dedicated to providing high-quality personalized eye care for your whole family in a friendly and professional environment.


Welcome to our new office! After being at our old location for 10 years, we have moved next to the new Eye Mart. It is located on the Northbound 35 frontage road in the same parking lot as Joe Ann's Fabric and Planet Fitness. Coming from San Antonio, take exit 185, go thru the 4 way stop sign and stay on the frontage road until you see the Eye Mart. Coming from Austin, take exit 185, take the turnaround before 1044 and stay on the frontage road until you see the Eye Mart on the North bound frontage road.

 

Payment Options

At Lone Star Vision Associates, we understand that cost is a concern when evaluating vision care providers. We do not want cost to be an obstacle to maintaining proper eye health and good vision. We accept various forms of payment and are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any examination.

Insurance

Exam Room - We have two state of the art exam rooms with touch screen monitors I use for checking how well you see. This specific room has a special track under the exam chair that will allow it to be moved out of the way for a wheel chair bound patient!
The knowledgeable staff at Lone Star Vision Associates is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit claims regarding your vision care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover most of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans often require a co-payment for an office appointment as well as additional costs that are covered by the insured patient.

Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.

Contact Lens Room - We have a nice open contact lens room that we ask our patients to use to remove and put on their contacts. The same area is used to teach our new wearers.
